Movies generate mental images and inspire you to create spontaneous emotional drawings, resulting in new iconography.

Driven by personal sketches and the overall feeling I got after watching these three emblematic movies Jean-Pierre Melville’s “Le Samourai”, Luc Besson’s “Leon” and Stanley Kubrick’s “A Clockwork Orange”, in this series of posters I chose to put emphasis on the essence of each movie, instead of merely recreate some famous shots. My aim was to present an idea that visually sums up the scenario and to create paradoxical and eye-catching imagery.

One can see that this work is about the creative wake of these distinctive moments of the cinema. The work has been inspired by the film grains of vintage posters, which bring to mind film developing methods of the past.
